Van Neistat is an "influencer" and a regular guy. I draw inspiration from him. As a lover of poetry, writers, and long romantic scenes in movies... Kurt Vonnegut taught me in Player Piano that we are all trying to figure out what we are supposed to do, to be mindful of our own crap, and to be suspect of anyone who says they have all the answers. It's all a trap, it's all preposterous, and it's all futile in the end. But we can still try. We can still make mistakes and make art and make lovely things. Sometimes the imperfections in life are the prefect things we need.
Episode 342 Being The Ricardos, After Life, Ozarks, Nobody
I was slightly distracted in the beginning of this episode. Sorry.... said June not January. I don't know what was going on in my head. Anyway, lots of content digested lately. My favorite of the past few days is After Life. It's nothing short of perfect. The casting, the story, the pacing, the music... the timing... perfect. Ricky Gervais is simply brilliant.

News Of The World is yet another movie in which we can just watch Tom Hanks interact with anyone or anything and he's such a good actor we buy in that he is all of the rolls he plays. True Story with Kevin Hart on Netflix gave me anxiety with the first episode... it may take me a while to watch more because it was so intense. F Is For Family with Bill Burr on Netflix is adult cartoon humor. I'm a fan, but it's rude for most people. Let's go on a cruise next year. :) Just saying *wink wink*

Red Notice was a fun movie that I think will turn into more shows. Arcane is still my biggest win of the week. Great show!! My big favorite of the week is Ted Lasso on Apple+ And Dune is so cool on HBO/Max. Locke & Key is fun and scary and awesome. Squid Game is a crazy cool concept. Love the show. I want to watch more.... I hear they're making more seasons. Sex Education is an excellent show. I wish it would go on... but everything has a time and place... and sadly that place is no further. Maybe they'll adapt a sci-fi cartoon version of the alien girl's fantasy world.
